Title: "Epic Fail: A Comedy of Errors with US Coachways Rating: 1 out of 5 (and that's being generous)
Oh, where do I even begin with the disaster that was my experience with US Coachways? If this company were a movie, it would be a tragicomedy, but unfortunately, the only thing tragic about it was the waste of time and money.
Firstly, let's talk about punctuality, or should I say the lack thereof.
We were promised a bus at a specific time, and what did we get? An hour of awkward small talk, checking our watches, and staring at the empty spot where the bus was supposed to be. I've had faster pizza deliveries during a thunderstorm.
Now, onto the creative storytelling skills of US Coachways. Apparently, the delay was due to the driver having a sudden bout of Covid.
Bravo for using a global pandemic as an excuse for your own incompetence! However, little did we know, the real reason for the tardiness was a classic case of "the check's in the mail" situation. The bus was being held hostage until the charter company got a love letter in the form of payment from the broker. Who knew that the transportation industry was now operating on a cash-on-delivery basis?
As for the cherry on top of this horrendous sundae the bathroom.
I would like to formally apologize to my nostrils for the assault they endured. The stench emanating from that bathroom was a unique blend of regret, disappointment, and possibly the ghosts of previous passengers.
It's like the tanks hadn't been pumped out since the invention of the wheel.
In summary, if you're in the market for a bus charter company that specializes in creative excuses, chronically tardy drivers, and olfactory punishment, look no further than US Coachways They've truly mastered the art of turning a simple journey into an unforgettable nightmare. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy well, maybe my worst enemy.
A horrible expedience
Worst experience of my chartering career. Booked 8 months in advance for 3 coaches in Boston and on to NYC.
Was to have been 7 days. First day? They cancelled one bus for an airport pick-up and dispatch offered no assistance. Second day, 2 of 3 busses cancelled with 50 minute notice.
Dispatched outright lied and said they, their affiliate, double-book. Offered no assistance to move our 150 kids. A little digging I learned that US Coachways hadnt been paying their bills to these companies and they refused to work out trip.
The buses that were sent were old and beat-up, and nowhere nears the quality inferred and promised. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY and their salesperson Tony.
The stress they caused us in not recoverable from, ever.
I fired them day two and under the most stressful of situations, found dependable drivers to complete the trip, WITH NO ASSISTANCE OF US COACHWAYS.
They have $38,000 of our money now that I will have to fight to get back. STAY AWAY!!

Worst experience of my life
Absolutely the worst business you could possibly pay money to. We were picked up in the most ratchet vehicle, in which the check engine light was on the whole time and one of the windows was duck taped shut.
Our driver did not know how to operate the GPS on his phone and so the trip took us an hour longer (normally a 2.5 hour drive; took us 3.5 hours). The delay was NOT due to traffic, simply incompetency. The driver unwittingly had the "avoid highways" setting set on his phone ... He's a professional driver, and he was unaware how to operate his GPS.
I'm honestly not even sure how that's possible. Anyway, so this was for a corporate event and we were late for the meeting that we should have been 45 minutes early for. The driver was clearly worried about mechanical issues during out trip as well. The check engine light was on, and toward the end of the trip, he turned the AC off (in the middle of August in Virginia) in an obvious attempt to keep the engine from overheating (as opposed to pulling over and calling dispatch for a new vehicle).
When the trip finally ended and we made it to our destination, we called customer service to (1) get a new vehicle for the return trip and (2) complain about the driver. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT HE HAD ALREADY CALLED THEM AND THE WHOLE COMPANY WAS CALLING US (THE CUSTOMERS) LIARS. They called us, the customers liars, despite having concrete evidence about ALL of the goings on that day (photos of the check engine light and the turned off AC). We decided NOT to take our return trip and instead rented cars to ensure the safe return of our people.
This is a hilarious story to read.
I hope you're entertained. And I hope we receive a full refund for this awful experience.

Our bus was due to depart July 29th 2023 no one notified us of a cancellation and we had 50 people waiting in the rain to go to Lancaster PA now they're giving us the runaround about our refund as well as the money loss for the show and dinner will not use again
